Sandhills Defoliation Response Index System (SanDRIS)

SanDRIS is a decision support tool designed to:

  1. Optimize herbage production each year
  2. Minimize the impact of pending drought
  3. Optimize the rate of vegetation recovery after drought.

The system integrates the probable effect of season of defoliation, precipitation, and end-of season residual herbage on next years herbage production potential.

Ag in Uncertain Times

Ag in uncertain times . . . is an interactive Extension webinar series designed to assist ag professionals, including producers, to better understand the changing conditions in today’s economy. The series is targeted towards providing information that helps producers make informed decisions and improves ag professional’s ability to work with their farm and ranch customers/clients. Each session is scheduled for 60 to 90 minutes with plenty of opportunity for the participants to interact with the presenters.
