Enrollment Forms

Member and Leader enrollment forms are due to the Extension Office by March 29. The 4-H member fee is $5.00 per child, not to exceed $20 per family, and is submitted with the 4-H enrollments for 2012 New leaders, please remember to submit the volunteer leader screening form. Nebraska State 4-H requires all volunteers and leaders to fill out this form once every four years. To comply with these rules, we are asking that you complete this form for your liability protection as well as for youth protection. Mail the screening form to the address listed. If you have questions about this, please contact Jody.

Spring Shooting Sports Practices

Cherry County 4-H is ready to start the spring and summer Shooting Sports program. All interested youth are encouraged to attend the safety and practice sessions for B.B., Air Rifle, .22 and Trap. No experience is necessary. Certified instructors will be teaching youth about equipment, safety procedures and shooting skills.  All sessions will begin at 6:00 P.M. at the Cherry County Fairgrounds.  Bring your own gun, ammo, safety glasses, ear protection and proper footwear. Guns may be available to borrow if needed. Parents or guardians must attend the first session that their child is attending. All participants must enrolled in 4-H. Cherry County 4-H Council

The Cherry County 4-H Council is a partner with the 4-H Youth Development Program of UNL-Extension. The Cherry County 4-H Council provides support to Extension staff, assists in dertermining the direction of the 4-H program, provides support and assistance to 4-H volunteers, and supports the 4-H members.  Read minutes and find members.

2012 Communications & Expressive Arts Contest

4-H offers the opportunity to gain and improve many skills that will be useful and necessary throughout life. The important abilities of being able to speak before a group and to perform before a crowd can be strengthened by taking part in the Communications and Expressive Arts Contest on Saturday, April 14, 1:00 pm, at Valentine Rural High School. You may participate in Music and Talent areas, Speech and Public Service Announcement and Presentations. 2011 Cherry County 4-H Fair Information

The Cherry County 4-H Fairbook contains all the information you need to enter items or animals in the County Fair. It is the reference that tells what items may be entered for the projects you have enrolled in. It also give guidelines for entries. Find all you need regarding the Fairbook, entry forms and schedules on our Fair Page.
